    I have replaced a 256GB SSD M2 C Drive on my laptop with a larger 500GB SSD M2.

Below is an image of the new 500 GB C drive which I have just restored from a macrium image. I want to have the maximum space I can get out of the drive

Is the recovery partition needed if I have a macrium rescue disk?

Can I delete the recovery partition so the 237 GB and the 227 unallocated partition can become one 464 GB partition?

If I cant how can I combine the 237 and 227 into one contiguous partition?

I went to Google and searched for "windows move recovery partition". This was at the top of the list:

Windows 10 Move Recovery Partition without Data Loss
If Windows 10 Recovery partition is in the way of extending C: partition, you can move recovery partition safely with a free tool.

AOMEI Partition Assistant will fix your problem easily. Just move your recovery partition to the end of the drive, and the unallocated space will be right behind your C: partition. Then expand your C: partition to include that space.

Why not just create a new primary, or logical partition, from the unallocated space (227Gb) instead.

You could store your data on that partition rather than on the boot partition, C:\, and if the boot partition became corrupt in some way your data would be safer.

This type of set up would also make it easier to image your boot partition as it would be smaller
