Comcast to RR/Big problems

We started transitioning from Comcast to Time Warner Cable/Road Runner this weekend in West LA. The process was a total disaster, at least for us. My wife's laptop is now riddled with viruses, according to the IT guys at UCLA. My desktop has picked up a tenacious problem with the print spooler continually stopping.

There was virtually no tech staffing during this transition and apparently, most of the defenses were down for this period as well. My NAV and Zone Alarm Pro were not much protection this time. Many of us in the neighborhood are still having problems with email.

It seems as though the consolidation of ISPs out here is just one more disaster. The free market only works if there is true competition.
