i can't seem to start an old computer of mine, as it keeps coming up with ' The following file is missing or corrupted:COMMAND.COM'
i don't appear to have a start up disk for windows 98, so how do i create one, when this computer I'm using is XP?..can i download one? and then copy it to disk......
the old computer has been like this for ages, and its about time i sorted it.....

I've created the disk, and when i now start the computer, with the disk in the A: drive i get the following on the screen 'non-system disk or disk error, replace and strike any key when ready'......
If i try starting without the disk, i now get the following
'Warning windows has detected a registry/configuration error.
Choose, Command prompt only, and run SCANREG

The following file is missing or corrupted: C:\WINDOWS\DBLBUFF.SYS
The following file is missing or corrupted: C:\WINDOWS\IFSHLP.SYS
The following file is missing or corrupted: COMMAND.COM
Type the name of the Command Interpreter (e.g., C:|WINDOWS\COMMAND\COM)
    C>

Hmmm, i can see this is going to be a challenge.....!
