Do you mean the Windows Command Line Utility?

The Command Line Utility [also called: ipconfig] in Microsoft Windows allows users to get the IP address information of a Windows computer. This ipconfig displays all current TCP/IP network configuration values and refreshes Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Domain Name System (DNS) settings.

The reason it "comes up in zone alarm for permission to access the internet" is it needs to connect to the web in order to allow users to obtain the IP address information of a Windows computer.

Note: Nothing to 'worry' about here. This is not a "security issue" or something to be concerned about. It is a normal functional requirement for ipconfig to have internet access permission through your firewall. For instance: Any time you call your ISP and ask for help; they generally instruct you to use ipconfig command line utility in Windows to access IP address information for connectivity issues etc.

Jerkyking, sorry I didn't know about different command programs and to Compuable, yes that is what i'm asking about.
Thanks so much for the info.....helped a lot. I've been doing a lot of reading/research into spyware/malware etc cause I get'em myself so once in awhile something pops up I need help with or answers to. So thanks again.

By the way can I delete the files in C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs ??
I also noticed my Temp Files are not deleting..........???

Regarding your follow-up questions; you could use the freeware utility called CCleaner to get rid lots of "hidden" temporary stuff like "Internet Logs" and "Temp Files" and to free up space as well. If you do not already have CCleaner on your system; you can download it for FREE right here at Major Geeks. If you haven't already installed it; you should definitely give it a try. It is very easy to use.

Important Note: If you have never used CCleaner before; when you first attempt to install CCleaner; it offers the "option" of installing Yahoo Search Toolbar. Well I installed CCleaner and it took out 204.1 MB of temp files so thanks for that. I also run Adaware on a regular basis along with SpyBot, Windows Advanced Care, and Advanced Spyware Remover and Zone Alarm is working hard also

When I go to the start menu there's nothing in there but AOL tray icon, so how do I find out what is starting in start up?? Because my start up is taking way to long.
