Is anyone here at MajorGeeks using Comodo AntiVirus? If so, what do you think of it?

I've been looking for a minimalist antivirus program that doesn't take up too many resources, task manager processes, or have any strange problems so I've been sighting in on Comodo due to their relatively good name in the firewall sector. Currently I'm using AVG 7 and I'm not too excited to move to 8 because I've heard stories of it slowing down PCs and finding lots of false positives (have those issues been ironed out?). To be fair, I've also heard that Comodo AntiVirus has an issue where Windows doesn't detect it as an antivirus so you have to deal with Windows constantly nagging you about that.

I've also tried Avast and Avira and neither were really impressive. I think it was Avast that took up like two taskbar icons and quite a few task manager processes which was kind of ridiculous, and Avira has a fairly annoying nag screen.

Anywho, let me know what you guys think about Comodo, or if you have a suggestion for a different barebones antivirus let me hear that too.

    Thanks

Comodo's antivirus is good, it's not great, but it's OK. It does have room for improvement, but if I had choice between Norton, McAfee, or Comodo, I'd take Comodo without hesitation. However, I've been using and recommending Avira's AntiVir for years (since version 6.0). I have never had any issues with it and Windows XP. And it's free. It does have a nag screen that comes up once every day or two, but it's easy to close, and I figure it's a really small price to pay for kick-a** realtime virus protection. Some people have a huge problem with the nag screen asking you to buy the full premium version. Why? Who knows. I have no problem with it. Anyway, here's the download link:

It was rated in the top 10 of all antivirus programs (paid for or free) about 12 or 18 months ago. Another popular AV program is Avast. It has a loyal and growing fan base and is probably worthy of checking out:

    Good luck, and stay safe!
