Comodo Upgrade

System is XP PRO, SP3. I'm running Comodo firewall and AV freeware. I keep getting the offer to upgrade to their "Internet Security Pro" for $12 for the first year. Does this software do a better job security wise than the free version?

 

BTW, I'm having no issues with the free version.

 

Reading at http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/ it looks like they've integrated AV and Firewall together with the paid package, and the free package is a Firewall only.. And yes, that would be better than running a Firewall alone.

Is your existing free package both? If so, as long as they support it with updates I don't see a major benefit to moving to the paid. If it is just the firewall, get some AV on the machine ASAP.

Comodo has been focusing their business over the last year or so, they dropped the Time Machine due to market conditions, keep an eye on what the are offering you and cover the bases as outlined in chaslang's post above...
