Are you planing steaming HD stuff with the rig?

Personally I would go with a bit stronger vid card like a 8600GT

Other then that it looks good.

Did you forget to add a psu to the build?

For smoother playback on FS, the 8600GT would certainly be an improvment!

Also, about the PSU, if you can, get the Corsair TX650, it will allow you to get upgrades in the future, it is one of the best made PSU's out there, it is virtually silent, and is as stable as can be!

I see a PSU comes in the case. PSU's that come in the case are usually low quality

low quality PSU's usually die fast and have problems and can take componets out with them

I don't think a 650 watt psu is necessary for the build

I think a Corsair 400 Watt would be good

The casing comes with the PSU. Its not going to be HD because im using some old dell monitor. i will look into the video card you sent to me.

BTY Newegg is expensive with hard drives why? I found cheap hard drives on pricewatch.com thats 300gbs for the same price as a 160gb newegg hard drive

i was just suggesting it due to it's future proofing and how quiet it is, which is vital in a HTPC!

A PSU working below it's spec will be quieter than one working closer to it's max, FACT.

    very true

However this pc wont consume much power so I think you will be ok on the noise level side with a corsair 400 watt but a 600 watt would future proof it say like a new video card that needs alot of power etc.

... Which would need a PSU upgrade, what i was thinking.

So basically a 400watt power supply wont do because it will be working hard to produce. I should get a bigger one so i don't hear anything right? Any idea how much Watts i should go up to? 600?

And I found 400 gb for the same price as the cheapest hard drive on newegg. I forgot the brand but here's the link lhttp://3btech.net/whlamadate402.html

A 600w PSU is not required, but yes, would make it quieter, and will allow you to make upgrades in the future without having to upgrade the PSU again.

If you have the cash and would prefer a silent-ish pc, then get the Corsair TX650.
