    Hi,
About once a week my pc fails to power up when I press the start button. I can remedy this by turning off the pc at the Power Supply rocker switch, removingthe power lead, waiting a couple of minutes, reconnect the power, turn on, press start. I don't really mind but when this happes to my wifeshe wants to throw the PC through the window!

The power supply is fairly new and I have ASUS P4s800 - MX SE Socket 478motherboard with pentium P4, running windows xp pro

Also got symantec system works but this does not show up any faulty devices

    Thanks for your help

You are not really doing anything to the pc when you do that, other than maybe the power cord may not be making good contact in the wall outlet, or the switch in the power supply. I would bend the connecters outward on the power cable where it plugs in the wall and see if that helps. ed
