I have an eMachines T6420. Today it started freezing while i'm playing either AA (America's Army) or coh (City Of Heroes). I haven't added any new hardware to it since i bought it. The OS (Operating System) is Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. I don't get any error messages, it just freezes out of the blue.

The computer is 1gb, 2.2ghz, with intergraded nvidia geforce 6100. I haven't overclocked it. Also i seem to lagg on coh even with minimal or performance graphic settings, although i'm far past recommended requirements.

Also, i'm looking for an lcd monitor. Preferably 17 inches or more, for around $150 with a good reaction speed. I've looked around but so far can't find much.

Not sure if bumps are allowed, but bump.

A.) You should only Bump once every 12 hours
B.) Have you tried running SiS SANDRA to retrieve some diagnostics?

go to http://www.sisoftware.co.uk/ and download SANDRA 2007 RC1

    Download and Install

Fire it up and run some of the diagnostic features it has and see what messages it reports, then comeback here with a list of tips and errors it gave you.

I'm sorry I don't have a more detailed guide, but i'm not at home at the moment.

That wasn't the program I linked to.

EDIT: But I also recommend that you do fix those registry problems.

EDIT2: Also try out CCleaner to clear out temps and cookies etc. http://download.ccleaner.com/ccsetup134.exe

I've been scanning it but so far can't find anything usefull in the tips its giving me. What should i be scanning/looking for?. Sorry, i'm not that great with these kinds of programs.

Edit 1-One of the performance tips say "Disabled host controllers are present. Check BIOS settings." whats that mean?.
