Comp Freezing up PLEASE help

I have had a problem with my comp freezing up totally. This has happened from day one of upgrading my computer. Got new ram, and a new hard drive. I have run xp service packs, took the cpu back to the guy that upgraded it, he ran diagnostics found nothing. What do i do. What could it be. The new hard drive? Or is it my processor. It is so sparatic there is no way for me to trouble shoot, or recreate when it is at the repair shop. Some times it will happen 3-4 times in the first 30 mins of using it..... some times i cant go hours with out it doing it. I play games a lot and have a problem freezing up during them a lot...... please help???????????

 

You keep looking at the CPU, but you've upgraded two things.

Your ram and hard drive.

I would suspect your ram before your hard drive.

Registration is free.

Get version 2.1b

Once downloaded, put a blank floppy in the drive and double click it to create a tester disk.


Reboot and boot to the floppy.

Run the standard or quick test.

Its been a while since I've used it and I don't have any floppies to try this out to make certain of the options.

When the test is done, or youa re done with it, take the floppy out and reboot the machine.
