Comp overheating??

    I have a compaq presario S3000 (my basic comp)... nothin special... recently it will beep and not turn on.. i really think its OVERHEATING. just because the fans are really slow... and its an AMD athlon 2000+. what should i do??

    well cpu don't overheat in a matter of seconds so if you leave you're computer off for at least 3 hours and try to turn it on again. if it does turn on it's probably that it's overheating if it doesn't turn on it's another problem. what is the room temp.
