Comp unable to "find" exe files

Hey guys.
I was installing Norton Systemworks 2004 on my XP Pro computer, and after a few restarts, a bunch of problems started occuring. As soon as I log on, a message saying:
"Cannot Find 'spoolgb.exe' make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again" appears.
And the system can't seem to load any program directly. An error message saying it can't find the related .exe (basically the above message, but replace "spoolgb.exe" with the appropriate program). All I can really do is go
through my folders. I tried doing the system restore to a previous setup, but when the comp restarts it can't find "c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe"
Anyone got solutions other than reformatting my comp? It would be greatly appreciated.

Are one of the error messages you get rstrui.exe entry point not found error... Check out this article, http://www.updatexp.com/rstrui-exe-entry-point-not-found.html

More specific error messages would help, several possibilities here, your problem might be with Norton's. Let us know.
