Compaq c700 laptop

Ok i have a compaq c7oo that was given to me it boots up fine but i get a crazy looking white screen on the lcd with colored lines goimg up it and across it. when i hook up the external monitor all is fine so im thinking i jus need an lcd any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

 

Check all connectors between the LCD and the motherboard. Check for broken or loose connections/leads. Either there is a bad connection somewhere or the internal LCD driver has gone bad.

 

have same laptop its the connectors between the LCD and the motherboard....i just replaced the bottom case and lcd hinges on mine. didnt get the conectoin from the mb to lcd screen just right and had the same thing happen my guess its came lose somehow should be easy to fix
