Compaq C700

Hello Everyone,

My computer know how is not so great so bare with me if you can.

I currently have a Compaq C700 laptop and a couple of weeks ago I had some problems with it and I took it to a shop and they re-formatted it and its caused some things to not work and has got rid of things I needed.

First problem I have is the wireless button on the top left hand of the laptops key board area, when the wireless is turned on the button should turn blue but it just stays constantly red, does any one know how I can get it to work properly.

Secondly, there used to be an option on start up to recover windows and to take it back to factory settings, this has now also disappeared and I asked them specifically if this would happen and they said no and its happened, I have tried to talk to them but they just ignore me.

If you require any more information then let me know and I will get it to you ASAP.

I tried to contact HP directly but they never reply to my emails and I do not currently have a phone to call them (out of warranty too)

Does the wireless work?

Pressing F11 on startup should get you to the recovery partition on that machine.

 

The wireless does work yes but the button just stays red and it should be blue.

Hitting F11 does not work, when the machine was formatted its deleted the partition I believe.

 

I don't know about that light but you should get recovery disks made. Though that partition should not have been destroyed.
