    Compaq AQ5000 Desktop
    4G Ram
    Onboard Vid
Everything Stock from store about 4 years old.

Wife's compy that she informed me has "been having issues powering up" the last few weeks ( wish she'd tell me sooner about these issues lol) .

What I have at the moment is no boot, no video, no case LED's other than power button, no POST codes but all the fans are turning and will continue to turn/run.

    What I've done

    - Cleaned inside and out
    - Tried a new video card(vs existing onboard)
    - Cleaned RAM and swapped slots
    - Reset all connectors
    - Disconnected all drives and tried booting

Thinking about replacing the power supply, not sure if its even worth replacing the MOBO and/or CPU these days with the costs of a new basic system (all she needs) but I thought I'd give you guys a shot again !

    Thanks for any input/advice

With all HP/Compaq's, the real number is the P/N on the same sticker as the serial number. They almost always end in #ABA. I say this as the AQ5000 is a bad model number and isn't findable on HP's website. What is the system's part number?
I have also been seeing a spate of bad memory and one of the symptoms is no post. Try using only one memory module and see if anything changes. If itdoesn't. switch memeory modules.

Doesn't sound too good. Clearing CMOS would be my only offering. If you had the computer unplugged while changing the CMOS battery then you have already done this. If you had it connected to electric power while changing the battery then I would unplug it and remove the battery for a minute and then put back and see if any change.

Do you get any beeps when trying to start with no RAM installed?

    Sry about that, it's a:

    CQ5000
    Sys# KY821AA-ABA

No Posts with either one or both Ram modules pulled.

Another symptom >> As soon as I plug the power chord in, the fans and power led's start/come on (without pushing the power button).

Tried to plug in a USB keyboard with lights to see if that was getting power, and no go.

That system has an ASUS M2N68-LA systemboard and almost undoubtedly has bad capacitors. Lay it down on it's right side, take the side cover off, and carefully inspect the capacitors for signs of bulging or oozing.

If you know someone who is good at desoldering, you can have him/her replace the caps and that will probably fix it.
    Or, here's one for $60: http://www.ecrater.com/p/12589269/asus-ddr3-m2n68-la-am3?gps=1
