Compaq Presario F700 Windows 7 Bios

Hi, having a bit of trouble trying to find an update for this laptop for the bios for Windows 7 can anyone help?

A bios update shouldn't be necessary to run Windows 7.

If you mean that you are looking for drivers for Windows 7, HP hasn't released those, but you can probably use the Windows Vista drivers that are listed for your model at the company's web site.

 

Ok the reason I am looking to update the bios is because it has a dual core processor but on the perfomance tab it is only showing one core. A quick look at google advised me to update the bios to help with this? Not sure how correct that information is though.

 

Under the Performance tab, Go to View, and make sure you have "show one graph for each CPU" checked.

Also click the Windows Globe and type msconfig in the search box. Go to the Boot Tab and click the advanced options button. Check the box for "Number of Processors" and in the drop down box make sure 2 is shown.
