Compaq Presario Realtek AC'97 Audio

I am getting very upset, been trying to download this driver and all i can get to is download this driver detective, which i did and then i have to pay for it to get my driver,
I have a compac presario sr1710nx
window xp pro


I have alot of drivers that are not installed, i formatted hard drive and lost all of them, now i don't know what to do. please someone help if you can.

 

Beware of Driver Defective!!! It's borderline malware. If you simply click here you'll be routed to the driver for your audio. Be sure to install the chipset driver FIRST! You can download it from this link.
So, install the chipset driver first, restart the PC, and install the audio driver, and restart the PC again.... that should do it!

thankyou so very much i got that one installed and one other one i couldnt find, but now i cant find the sm bus controller and video controller on that site. not really sure what they are either. thankyou for all your help

 

The SM Bus Controller should be handled by the chipset:
(dlb already suggested it. Did you install it?)
