    Ordering recovery disk

I fall else fails and you can't get anyone here or on other sites to help you. Go to this link and order recovery disk for your computer.

But give the Geeks here a chance first

    Hi

As your PC was originally going via the model number one that came with Windows Vista and you now have installed XP for which Compaq dont have listed any drivers on that models support page, then indeed you will have to attach an Everest Report and hopefully we can find the drivers for you, which in many cases is not easy.

Please attach your log to your next post as per these instructions HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post

    Hi

Do you have a USB pen? and if both PCs have USB Ports, then copy Everest to the pen then transport to the PC, install, get and save as text file the report, pop that on the pen, take to PC thats on the internet and attach file. (substitute USB Pen for CDRW if the USB ports are not working)

sadly long winded method, but sadly what happens and your going to have to use a method like this to install the drivers anyway.
