I have a Compaq tablet pc, i believe the t1000 but i am running windowsxp pro service pack3 on it. i was able to find drivers for the vga, and wireless from hps website but the drivers that they provide for the ethernet are incompatable. it says a service instalation section in this INF is invalid. can i find other drivers somewhere else or should i get an ethernet card.

    thanks,
    val

How would you install this in a tablet PC?
If you absolutely need a wired connection, then get a USB to ethernet adapter. Something like this

I used something similar on a 98SE laptop that did not have ethernet in the computer.

If you mean wireless in stead of ethernet then here are the broadcom drivers for the wifi chip
