    yup, they are compatible. the card is PCI-Express and the motherboard has 2 PCI-E slots for SLI so if ya want you can add another one later

    i have to use a nvidia chipset, correct?

    no u dont, u could use an ATI card on that but you wouldnt be able to use Crossfire/SLI with it
