If I need to submit more information, let me know :(

I had a really mohugeous problem about 2 months ago, (ie: gobs of spyware, a few trojans, CW, various other items, I have since limited the sites my children can go to) and it seemed to be fixed. Well, I installed a spyware program that the clerk at Staples recommended, but I apparently still have some things in my computer that will not go away. The program I installed was Ghostsurf, and it seems to do a pretty good job, and I also run adaware regularily. However, I can not get my daughter's AIM to connect anymore, I can not get updates to connect and work through adaware and ghostsurf, and I still have three programs in my system that I can not get rid of, specifically bman, delfin, and desktop.exe. Every time ghostsurf tries to get rid of it, the program says I do not have administrative rights. I have limited geek abilities, and am willing to learn. Please help me!!!!

Thanks for any hlep you great people can provide. :D

Would any of my connection problems be related to the fact that ghostsurf runs through a proxy? (whatever the heck that means)

    HI tblue
I did read that, but alot of the information overwhelms me. I am going to try it, crossing my fingers.

However, the one question I do have I would think would be for this forum, which is about AIM. I only said the rest of it because I am trying to be thorough ) Is there a quick fix so my daughter can use her AIM without me having to die in the process?

    Try disabling ghostsurfer and try.

Try what kadavill suggested. If that doesn't work I would run the sticky. You can always post and ask for help if you don't understand something. Sounds like you still have malware issues though.

If I remember right, ghostsurfer is a "tool" that "hides" your IP. Everything runs through a proxy. More than likely, you need to set AIM, and all your other programs to run through this proxy that ghost serfer created. Your main browser(IE?) already has this info. Try checking tools, internet options, connections tab, lan settings button, where it says proxy server is there a check box there? If so, the IP and port there is what you need to have setup on ALL of your applications.
