Completely reinstall XP URGENT

    hi

    i want to reinstall XP because my is pc really really slow. what would happen to the drivers for example graphics, audio. would they erase.

    Please help me .

    Yes, unless you do Windows over Windows (repair) install.. that sometimes helps... but I'd start over.

    Suggest you try DriverMax 4.4 at http://www.majorgeeks.com/download5260.html or similar program. Maybe make 2 copies, just in case.

    Did XP slow all of a sudden or has it been going slower for a while. Only reason I ask is if you added new stuff or perhaps you have malware which it doesn't sound like it has. Do you have an XP CD or recovery disks? If you have the CD, you can reinstall your drivers from your motherboard maker. Make sure to back up what you need first in case something goes wrong. Also, re-installing doesn't teach you anything of what may have gone wrong.;) It'll be a good thing to know next time.:)
