I once downloaded Google Chrome when I was downloading something else and they try and sneekily get you to download something else. I thought I had removed it. However, when I go into Piriform - CCleaner (Version 4, 09, 00, 4471), then Tools and then into Startup across the top there are a number of tabs and one is for Google Chrome; therefore, it must still have some files on my PC.

Is there a tool that I can run on my PC that completely removes Google Chrome in its entirety.

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1.

I used Revo Uninstaller to remove chrome and all the registry entries.

Mark, the "Chrome" tab is part of the program and is not an indicator of installation status. I've never installed Chrome on my computer yet I still have the CCleaner tab you are referring to.

Well, I've never installed Chrome either but do not have the tab, so something's amiss.

Yeah, that IS pretty weird. What version of CCleaner are you using? I'm using v4.09.4471 (64-bit).

The Chrome tab and Chrome cleaning options should only appear on detection of any of the Chromium based browsers that CCleaner covers. Chromium, Chrome, RockMelt, SRWare Iron and Comodo Dragon are the ones I'm aware of.

I suppose that the only way to know is to ask the developer. In any case, I don't think Mark needs to worry about a potential incomplete uninstall of Chrome browser, based solely on the existence of the Chrome tab in CCleaner. It may be that the browser tab, once initialized, doesn't disappear even after complete uninstall of the Chrome browser.

I fired up the computer I had Chrome installed on. I do not have a Google Chrome tab appearing in the Start section under Tools in CCleaner (4.09.4471) after using Revo to uninstall it.
