complications after system restore

I have a Gateway CX2620 tablet notebook that I bought for college. It's been working perfectly fine for 8 months and I finally had my first issue with it. This blue screen started poping up about 2 months ago telling me that there was a virus. I took it to where I bought it (best buy) and figured they'd fix it for free with my 2 year warranty. Apparently I was wrong and they tried to charge me 150$ (again, to fix a virus!) so I fixed it myself.

I ran the system restore CD's like I should and that fixed the problem. The blue screen now no longer shows up on my tablet anymore. However, this created a whole new problem within itself. After I did run the CD's and got everything situated, I ran dxdiag on my labtop since it would not allow me to play any PC games anymore (D3DERR error). Now once I do run dxdiag it says that my video driver is a 'generic video driver' ie the video card provided by the manufacturer. Now I know whenever you buy a new pc or a new labtop that the video driver and processor comes preinstalled. The ones it came with preinstalled are the Intel Pentium M Processor 740 and an ATI Mobility Radeon X600 SE.

What I wanted to know is, how do I put them back onto my labtop? Or since I did do system restore will I no longer be able to get them back? I know that when I get my system properties screen up that I can select Device Manager, from there would I be able to reinstall them back onto my labtop?
