computer ac power will not shut off

I have an hp xw8200 xeon computer and with xp professional

when I do a shut down the hard drives shut down but the fans and the ac power are still on.

I have to shut it down by terminating the power from the power strip.

The only thing I can think of is I load gta4 and an nvidia gforce 9800 card
since then its the only issue that have.

Anyone know what to do?

I reload the newest video drivers/nothing still the same problem.

I don't even know what the problem could be?

 

I presume this means you did not have the problem before you

1) added a new gforce9800 graphics card.

Did you turn of the old one (was it onboard?) in BIOS?

2) loaded grand theft auto.

You need to test whether the problem is due to the card or game, by removing one and then the other.
