I've been having problems using paypal today and when I called them today, they checked and cannot figure out why. I went to send an email to the buyer and you have to enter one of those 6 digit security numbers at the end to prove I'm not automated. When I entered the 6 digit number it said it was wrong and it is clear as day. I did this approx 5 more times. What's up with this? This may be why the paypal wasn't working.

    Greetings, silverlake69.

We need more info: what's the make and model # of your machine (please include any Service Tag #s), and what operating system version and Service Pack # are you running?

I'm not sure where to find all that information right now. I'm running windows 7 on an HP desktop that is about a month old. I was able to do the transaction on my wifes computer tonight, so I must have some key logger issue or something. It's been running considerably slower the last few weeks, just sit and watch the green status bar at the botom slowly grow. I ran Malware Anti malware then, showed nothing and also ran it today, again showed nothing. I freq run CC Cleaner and use AVG antivirus. Let me know if you need any other info.

    Hi.

Please download and run Speccy, a free system information tool.

When the scan completes, click 'File', 'Save as Text file', name the report, and save to an easily found location, such as your Desktop.

Be advised: the report will display your IP Address and Windows Product Key. You may delete this information if you so wish.

Then attach that file to your next post per these instructions: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post.

    **********

Your symptoms are appearing to be malware-related, even though you've run scans. Just to be safe, I strongly suggest you go through the Malware Forum's Read & Run Me First thread, perform all of the suggested steps, and attach the requested logs to a new thread in that forum.

Let the Malware Forum gurus give you the all clear, so we won't be butting heads with a potential malware issue.

Here is the data sheet. I'll start to go through the malware troubleshooter.

I don't see anything obvious from your report, other than the fact that Windows Defender is turned off and that AVG is known to cause issues with some configurations.

Yeah, get the all clear from the Malware guys, then we'll see about finding out the source of the sluggishness.
