Computer books

I’m looking for good computer books on how to repairing & understand Vista operating system. I have done a lot of computer repairs from formatting, reloading, removing malwares, adding hard drives, changing parts, working with registry, a lot of basic stuff. But I would like to explore deeper into the guts of the operating system & be able to diagnose problems without having to download fix it programs. :confused Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Books are great for general stuff. Google seems to have an unlimited amount of free information. A strong Google Fu will beat a book. :-D

Weak or strong, you still got the point across. That’s a great idea Fred. I have done that, but my problem is that sometimes I don’t know exactly what to ask when I search for solutions & I get even more confused about my question. If I get a decent book at least I will have a a general idea on what I am asking for & get a more detailed answer. I will pick up Windows Administration at the Command Line tonight & see how much havoc I can cause to my laptop. Actually I live by your signature studiot. I always have to mess around with it until something brakes. But why have a laptop if you can’t screw it up. :-D Thanks for help Fred & studio.
