computer case beeping and screeching

hi, ive just booted up my computer for the 3rd time today and the 3rd time i powered up the computer it made a clicking sound inside the computer case then a high pitched screech. everytime i load a program or somthing it keeps happening, -click- -click -click- -beeep- click- -click- . ive never had this problem before and i never touch or move the computer case..

any ideas? its really off-putting sound..

Sounds like thats one bad hard drive or could just be a loose fan etc. You said "when i open a program" the PC is going to the HD to retreive said program and hence the noise. Check it out NOW!!
