Computer Delima

This is my first post "11-21-06" new holiday : )

I need a few opinions on a new comp.

specs= 2gb memory
250gb hardD
multidisk drive CD-RW DVD-RW etc..
256mb Geforce 7500
soundblaster audio

I am debating between two computers, the only difference between them is the processer.

AMD x2 4200 2.2ghz = $1080 plus specs^
Pentium D 2.8ghz = $1100 plus specs^

Pemtium or AMD it makes no difference to me, I just need to know which one is gonna do better performance wise with the given specs.

 

Unless you get Core 2 Duo, AMD will beat Intel hands down.

So either Core 2 Duo (suggested) or that AMD.
