Everything was running just fine earlier on. I shut off my computer, didnt notice anything unusual, left, came back 30 minutes later, turn it on... the screen stays on the motherboard "splash" screen with only the option to go in bios, as if harddrive is not loaded. Problem is, anything usb arent loaded as well, so my keyboard doesnt work. I tried putting my old harddrive in, same result. What gives? Everything looks like it working, video card, fans, harddrive (light is on), cdrom drive... I tried removing all the plugs except monitor and powersupply. Also looked for loose cables...

    my spec:
    A64 3200+
    Antec Truepower 430W
    K8N Neo Platinum
    ATI X800XL 256MB
    Seagate 160gb 8mb
    Audigy 2 ZS

Does it give any message like "Boot disk not found" or something?

If your USB keyboard won't get you into the BIOS, might dig that old PS2 out of your closet and set "USB keyboard support" to BIOS. Also make sure the boot order is set correctly.

Am I misunderstanding, is the splash screen freezing?
