Computer Down..

Windows Vista will not connect to Internet..Only problem found thus far was with WAN miniport (Tun) error code 19--Could this be my problem. Other computers on my home network have no problems. This is a laptop if it makes any difference. Any suggestions. Works final in a local mode.

The largest and most well-known example of a WAN is the Internet.

Start> Run> services.msc

Check to see if there is a Service: WAN Miniport (ATW) Service (WANMiniportService) - C:\WINDOWS\wanmpsvc.exe
Make certain in "Startup Type" it is listed as "Automatic".

Also check your device manager
Start> Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device Manager
and see if it is listed there (probably under "Network Adapters".
It may need to have its driver reinstalled.
