Sorry for two posts, but my computer needs help bad. My computer freezes constantly. I know thats not much information to go on I'm just desperate to know how to go about solving this problem. It doesn't always freeze at the same moment. Sometimes it will go hours without freezing somtimes minutes. I can run multiple RAM heavy programs at once with no problem. It's not as bad now that I upgraded to XP. I've defragged, virus scanned and eliminated spam so I don't think it's any of those. Any advice on where I should start to fix this problem?
    Thanks,
    Kiel

Run a scandisk on your hard drive.

Try unplugging any external devices for a while.

    Hi,

Are you monitoring your temps, if so what are they? You sould try memtest86 to check the ram just in case, with what you describe I would leave it run 8 hours. You could also try prime95 to test psu, ram, cpu, mobo and heat related problems. It won't tell you witch device is bad but at least you will then know its hardewae related. You should also run prime 8 hours but if its hardeware I suspect it will error in under a hour.

These are some suggested things to start, you should list your full system specs.
