Computer freezes when I start typing!

    Mouse works fine...but the minute I go to type, my computer freezes!. I have tried EVERYTHING I know to do. Ran several anti-virus programs...even tried a trick someone suggested just switching the port plug-ins. I KNOW there's a way to fix it by paying someone...but how can I fix it? HELP?

    Tried a different keyboard? Did it work or freeze up?

    I have tried EVERYTHING I know!...switched keyboards, switched ports, ran anti-malware and anti-virus programs, updated drivers...and just can't seem to make it work! Any ideas?

    I had one of the computers freeze as soon as I tried to use the keyboard.
    For me, it turned out caps lock was turned on in the BIOS.
    I made that change and no more freezeups.
    Take a look at the settings in the BIOS.
