computer freezes while online

my computer keeps freezing up on me every 10 minutes or so only while i am online i have roadrunner cable and windows me 256 ram and 900 meg processor

 

Freezing up in what way? Does it just slow way down, and return to normal when you close your browser? Are you able to bring up task manager to see what might be causing this? Or does it become completely unresponsive & require a soft or hard reboot to get it running again? Either way, have you gone through the usual virus/spyware checks with fully updated definitions to make sure your computer's clean?

 

yea it slows way down while i am online but after about 10 seconds or so it frees back up and runs fine until it does it again

 

That really seems to be trojan-like activity to me. Have you done the Ad-Aware/Spybot scans recently?

 

the problem has bothered me so badly that i have ran spybot that did not work so i formatted c: sterted over fresh and still having problem lol
