    Asus P4P800SE
    P4 3.0ghz
    Sapphire Radeon 9550 (256)
1 gig of ram, dual channel
    200 gig sata
    Audigy2 z6

It seems like its only EA games that are freezing.. Tiger 2005 did it at the end of the first hole always until i reinstalled it, now it works fine. Need for Speed underground 2 works fine, The Sims 2 froze once, Call of duty froze once but appears to be working fine now. Medal of Honor is freezing always.. It freezes and the sound is looping, cant multi task out, have to reboot. I Have a 80mm fan in the front sucking air into the tower, and i have a 80mm fan in the back exausting out. Im not too sure if its a heat issue, once when it crashed/froze i checked the bios right after and the cpu temp was 55 and the MB temp was 38. Im too sure what else to do, ive played with page file settings and what not, ran memtest86 (one stick of ram is different but i took it out and ran 512, same thing was happening), reinstalled video drivers (off ati's website of course), im in the process of downloading "3d mark" right now.. Much appreciated if someone can help, im joansing to play some spearhead online..

Could it be that your game is buggy?
I have some games that as soon as i start a level i'll get the loop sound as well and i'm forced to restart. Try and update your bios as well
ops 55 cpu. I didn't see that? Let me guess no airconditioning in the room on a hot day?

Check your 3D software (ie. DirectX) to see if you have a fully compatible version(with each game),You might have to reconfigure the setting for the games that are having problems..

I don't think a temp a 55 is detrimental, but you might want to look into increasing your cooling. I went to Intel and out of all the 3G processors the lowest Temp Spec was 60.

I dont think its a heat issue, those temps seem fine, im gonna play in the ati control panel though see if i can make any progress.

I have Asus P4C800-E mobo, i overclocked it from a 2.8 to run at 3.2, it works well with Doom 3 and UT2004, but when I play any EA games (BF, BFME, Generals) the computer restarts. So I had stop overclocking my computer in order to play all my games.

my system isnt overclocked.. Im even thinking maybe it has something to do with the audigy 2 Z6 card because the sound loops when the game is freezes. I reinstalled drivers and updated them from creative's websitre, turned off hardware accel. nothing.. still doing it.. Im just about to reinstall windows?,... bahhhhh. one game though that hasnt freezed is doom3... it does seem like a EA game problem though.

Reinstalled windows, nothing.. took out the audigy 2 and ran onboard sound, never worked. I noticed recently after one of the crashes my CPU temp was 68 in the hardware moniter.. Re-applied new thermal grease.. same thing happening.. Every other time it has froze the temps were never that high. Im gonna buy a coolermaster jet fan even though i shouldnt need one. Im gonna reinstall Doom3 and see if it freezes. Probally try using an NVIDIA card too. Messed up problem, im stressing.
