Hello you Guys. Ok this is how all my computer problems started. One night my hubby was on the computer (could have killed him, but I didn't) and he right clicked on a picture and made it as a desktop item. Well he said he trying to make it his background. Well he right clicked on it and went into either graphic options or display properties and changed a setting. He then said that the computer went crazy and some screen come up he says he don't remember what it says. He tried to restart the computer and it would only come back to this screen. Well the only way i knew how to get my computer back up was to put in my recovery cds and redo my computer like it was when we first got it. Well eversince then my computer has been just restarting. It will stay on for a while and then just restart. So when the error message comes up and i send it this is what it is telling me:
*error caused by a video device driver.
    *windows stop error
*a video adapter device driver Thread_stuck_in_device_driver
When i went throught and read about it and how to try to fix it this is what all i have done. I manually decreased the hardware acceleration. IT has not helped. THen i went into my computer, properties, advanced, start up and recovery and unchecked the box that says automaticly restart. When i did that and the last time it restarted I got a blue screen that says this:
    stop: 0x0000007e (0x0000005, 0x0000001f, 0xf8991c90, 0xf891990)
It then tells me to change my video adapters, if a driver is identifed in stop message disable it or check for updates, check for bios updates, disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. Now I don't know much about computers so I have no clue on how to do that or what it even means. I even seen where it told me to replace my video card.
What do you guys think is wrong and what do i need to do. One more thing it does is it will not let me do a virus scan. IT will let me do my updates. It also won't let me do my windows update. IT will start doing them but always restarts before it gets done.
Thanks so much for any help,
    Doniell

I have had a similer problem with one of my computers. You might want to check to see if your graphics cards fan is working. The computer force restarts or turns off the computer if the card overheats

Thanks for helping. How do i check to see if it is the fan? I had one person tell me that it might be my graphic card gone bad. I never thought it might be the fan.
    Thanks,
