Hi all, I'm hoping you can help with this problem. I updated every driver last night and the last one was for my motherboard which is a Evga nForce 680i A1, I downloaded the driver and went to install. I got a message saying I had to uninstall the drivers I had in at the moment, it said check yes if you would like it to be uninstalled which I did. Now, after that I had to reboot. It started to load fine but after the Windows XP logo where normally it would start up desktop it just stayed black, the hard drive still made noises but other than that nothing happened, I gave it time ( over half hour) but still nothing. I inserted the original driver disk for my motherboard and changed to boot from cd but still nothing. Please, any help on this would by much appreciated.
    I am running WinXP Home.

The best thing to try with this kind of error is to keep hitting the F8 key during boot up to get to the safe mode screen. Don't go into safe mode but select "last known good configuration", if that doesn't work, do it again but this time go into safe mode, and at the safe mode pre-screen it will ask you if you want to go to safe mode or select no to go to system restore. Go to Sytem Restore and restore your pc to before you installed the motherboard drivers.
