computer is it dead?????

My computer is not turning on ____visually, The fans turn on,The cd drives will open and close, Something will beep at me every once in a while when i turn it on. When that happens the monitor will turn on but then it will usually freeze up before I can try to boot from a disc. Please help me

what are your specs?

do you get ANYTHING on screen? POST? mobo splash screen?

 

yes i do looks like moniter is working fine but the computer try to start up but fails.i tried safe mode . last working config still didnot work. dont turn on

HI,

i had a similar prob, a long shot is when u turn on your pc, try gently wiggeling the moniter plug and see of it comes on. It worked for me for the short term. Also check to see if your vid card is in securely. I reseated mine and made sure it was securely in and havent had any probs since.
