Computer is stuck in safe mode....

    Run WinXP, won't start up in normal mode. Any ideas?

    also type in the run box msconfig and check these two locations

    General tab ~ is Normal boot checked?

    Boot tab ~ is Safe boot unchecked?

    if no to the above choose those options > Apply and reboot ( just change those two options only )

    Thanks, now the computer works. Any idea why the DSL quit working?

    Should be able to just open up your connection and either connect or repair.
    Start ...connect ...
    or network connections ...right click ...repair.

    What's happening ...is it x'ed out in network places? Does the ethernet card show up in device manager? May have to uninstall and reboot and let it be found again. Or cycle you modem and router.
