Computer Killer and now my boyfriend is going to kill me...HELP

Ok here is the down low, I crashed his pc today and I mean totally. I have worked hours to get it back to this state of health. But I am death to computers I think I have killed 3 in the last 5 years.


I am PLEADING for HELP, I need someone to please take their time with me and walk me by my hand through what I need to do next. I need the multimedia audio controller, Video Controller, and my modem has a question mark beside it too.

Do your part in preventing a murder of a girl by an angry boyfriend please....I know some of you feel my pain....so come on and give me some feedback.

I'll even bake you your favorite cookies....plllleeeaasseeee

Alright I went to the site, which motherboard do I choose, and then what socket set number? and model number.

The page is already preset to certain numbers etc, does that mean it is what I need? I don't want to download the wrong stuff...again HELP!!

I told you I would need to be held by the hand to do this...:cry

 

Ok, sigh,

I have sound back, but the VGA and the soft modem still aren't working right, heck I'm not even sure if the LAN is working right. I will have to re-do a log to send. But I can't now I've been up all night working on it and I have to go to work now.

Oh plus the mouse scrolls funny...

I'm open to suggestions ladies and gentlemen.....I am desperate.

He doesn't want to go to Vista, that is why he wants to hold on to this pc for as long as he can.

Yes I downloaded the system chipset drivers, the audio drivers and the VGA drivers the only thing left with yellow mark is the soft modem.

it says

LSI-PCI-SV92PP soft modem

What would be the next step to fix that?

HI back again, I have no universal serial bus controllers...where and how can I find those?

I tried microsoft and didn't get anywhere there....boyfriends printer isnt working...well...none of usb ports are working.
