My computer (i3 corsair vengance 8gb gtx 550ti) is getting tons of lag. I built it 5 or so months ago and League of Legends, google chrome (just a playlist), and skype will make it crash.

    Please help.

also when i boot up windows it tells me about a paging file, I tell it nothing on my main drive and all on 2tb external. Then when I restart same thing happens.

Assuming this lagging is related to the page file, test with 100MB paging file on your C: drive (I guess this is very small/SSD?) and no page file on the external.

It is a 64 gb C: drive. When I restart it tells me the same message about a paging file so I think something is wrong. :s

The following are the minimum and recommended system requirements for running League of Legends on a PC:

    What is your processor speed.

And it sounds to me that you are bottle necking some where between the processor and graphics. This is a heavy graphics usage game i would imagine.

This sounds more like an upgrade problem.

Try lowering your in games settings and use windows max mode if it has it.Full screen mode in lots of mmos have higher issues with full screen.

And increasing your VM would most likely help in this matter.Even though you have 8 gigs mmos still need the VM to run properly.

I run Star Trek online it is a heavy video resource eater.

I am only playing league of legends on this computer and it has run fine until now. Processor is Intel Core i3-3200 CPU @3.30 GHz

When was the last time you ran a disk chk or disk defrag or malware or virus scans.

Please reboot and note the exact message given, that should give us clues to the problem.

What security software do you have installed?

I moved league of legends to my E: drive and now after reboot I didn't get the message. The problem still happens just less commonly. I had norton but uninstalled it, as I usually know what is and isnt a virus to a good point.

Norton's notorious for leaving traces behind that later cause problems, use the Norton removal tool to ensure it's been fully cleaned out.

What security software do you currently use?
