Computer locks up when Kindle is plugged in?

    I've got another post going about my Kindle not being recognized but also when it is plugged in, the computer won't shut down properly and when you click on "my computer", it shows a gray screen and you have to close it out which removes all of the desktop icons, which makes you have to reboot. This stuff is driving me nuts.
