Computer Makes A Long (10 - 12 Second ) Beep Before Booting Up.

This started happening a few weeks ago. When booting up it beeps a long time, but then seems to work normal. Just the long beep at start up. I thought maybe the wireless keyboard was the problem and purchased a wired one, but it still does it. Any ideas?
The motherboard is a MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard with a ryzen 5 5600x cpu.

You need to be specific about the beeps, or is it beep? It matters.

Beep codes come in specific patterns of long and/or short beeps. You need to listen and count the beeps. They should come in a series, then start the cycle over. For example, 3 beeps, then a pause, then 3 beeps, pause... .

Look in your motherboard user manual (around page 87).

It just makes one long continuous beep to about 8 - 10 seconds then just boots up normally. It started happening about 2 weeks ago.

From what I can find, one long beep typically indicates RAM issues. If you have more than one stick, you can try just one at a time.

But first, make sure the stick(s) are firmly seated in their slots. Unplug from the wall, touch bare metal of the case interior to discharge any static in your body, then firmly and carefully press straight down and evenly on the RAM. If you learn one of the sticks was not firmly seated, carefully remove the stick and insert it again. Note that most slots have a little catch release lever you must lift or push to "unlock" the RAM to remove from the slot. Check your manual if unsure before attempting to remove any sticks. When inserting, you should see and often even hear the RAM "click" into place as the lock catches.

Removing and replacing the sticks will [hopefully] scrape off any dirt and grime that may have collected on the exposed contacts of the loose stick. This helps clean the contacts to ensure good continuity through the electrical contacts. This remove and replace action typically is not needed if the RAM was correctly and fully inserted initially as those slot connectors are specifically designed to prevent contaminants from getting in between the contacts points - assuming no damage and proper installation of the sticks.

I tried removing and reinserting memory and even tried different memory. Still a long beep timed at 12 seconds, but then it just boots up normally like nothing's wrong.
I did notice another problem too. I went into bios to check out settings and I could hardly move the mouse. It would move a little and kinds jerky then all of a sudden move a lot and go in an area I didn't even try for.
The one last thing I tried was using memtest86. It would boot to the program, but the mouse was unresponsive. I tried different usb ports and even a different mouse to no avail.
The motherboard was purchased from Newegg 12/16/21 and it's an ASROCK B450M PRO4 AMD with a Ryzen 5 5600x cpu. The memory is Corsair Vengeace LPX 32gb (2X16gb) DDR4.

I'm beginning to think the problem is the motherboard. What do you guys think?
And Thank you for your help.

I agree - it does sound like the motherboard. However, since everything inside the computer case depends on good, clean stable power, I always want to verify I am supplying it - especially before replacing or assuming other parts are bad. So I recommend you beg, borrow, or steal another known good PSU and swap that in there to see what happens.

I have a psu tester. It's by Thermaltake - Dr Power II universal atx power supply tester.I'll try this first.

I do have a couple of psu units laying around, but one is a "Sentey" model Xplus power 725w. A friend gave it to me and I tested it using the Dr Power II tester and it showed to be good, but I don't know. From what I've researched on it the Sentey brand is considered a pretty low end product.
I also have a Kingwin Mach 1 1000watt which is quit heavy. I got it thinking I'd need it for a setup running with dual graphic cards in sli. I soon realized it was over kill for what I actually needed.
Both of these units tested good using the Dr Power II.
I had a Corsair CX600 which tested bad.
Right now I'm running windows memory diagnostics.

Well, if it is like this PSU Tester I keep in my tool bag, it is important to understand they are not conclusive.

To properly and conclusively test a power supply unit (PSU), it must be tested under a variety of realistic "loads" then analyzed for excessive ripple and other anomalies that affect computer stability. This is done by a qualified technician using an oscilloscope or a dedicated power supply “analyzer” - sophisticated (and expensive!) electronic test equipment requiring special training to operate, and a basic knowledge of electronics theory to understand the results. Therefore, conclusively testing a power supply is done in properly equipped electronics repair facilities.

This is why swapping in a known good power supply, a tried-and-true troubleshooting method used by amateurs and professionals alike, is typically the best and easiest alternative.

Well I tried the Sentey psu since I was told there was no problem with it. I only plugged in the cords for the motherboard, cpu, and graphics card. When I booted up the computer there was no beep and went right to bios, ut the mouse was still not working right.
When I added the sdd and rebooted I got the beep for 12 seconds and 40 seconds later got into windows ( which has been the norm since this started).
Once in windows 10 it acts like nothing is wrong.
So I'm guessing it's motherboard related and I'll contact ASROCK about a replacement. Which means sending this one in and waiting for another and being without a computer for a while :(
