I have an issue that I can not overcome with my mouse on Win 10 home edition. On a HP Desktop.I have tried every suggestion from several blogs, but I have not been able to solve, when I mouse over a web page on my desktop a context menu will pop up. I am very careful not to right click. I have to move my mouse to get rid of it, when I go to another site it does the same thing every time.

I have also tried changing my mouse settings, different USB ports, wireless mouse, 2 different wired mouse, uninstalled win 10 reinstalled it, tried all mice on my laptop, they work fine. Someone said it could be my keyboard soI tried a new one.

I have had other issues in the past and was able to resolve them with suggestions from various blogs.

But this one has me baffled and frustrated. Maybe I am not being clear enough in the description, I am open to try anything.

Sounds like a virus or malware.

Run these scans in the list.

Could be hidden in the MBR stuff tends to hide.Unless it was a full format it can stay on system.

Clean install does not mean it was a fully formatted drive.Especially with windows 10.

    Look on this link here.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4000735/windows-10-reinstall

I have seen stuff still survive even after a full windows 10 wipe.

    Various solutions offered, maybe this one;

The solution is disabling the touchpad two-finger tap! THIS gesture brings up the context menu. You don't need it; there's a right-button for that.

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE in the Registry (you need to be on an Administrator account). Locate the touchpad manufacturer's entry under this, then search for a Registry entry like "2FingerTapAction" (it may be different for different manufacturers). Change the value to zero. PROBLEM SOLVED!

Or, maybe look in folder options, such as Always show menu.
Or, make sure Click Lock is unticked.
Or, may be Windows key is malfunctioning, Hit it and problem should be solved until next reboot.

I had a similar problem which sent me mental and one day somebody posted the answer and it was so simple, kicked myself. However if it happens again I am stuffed, I
wrote the solution down somewhere but can't find it.

Keep trying, answer is out there somewhere.

Open Mouse in the control panel. On the first tab, Buttons, be sure Click Lock is not enabled. There should be no check/tick in front of Turn on ClickLock.
