Hey yall, I have a 2.66GHZ Quad Core with 8GB DDR3 Ram and a 750w power supply, and I have replaced the heatsink with a better than the intel stock one, I also have 2 120mm fan's, I did make sure the fans are facing the correct way, the thermal gel is on there properly, but when I run SpeedFan these are the results I get...

    GPU - 58C
    System - 96C
    CPU - 61C
    AUX - 41C
    Core 0 - 63C
    Core 1 - 58C
    Core 2 - 58C
    Core 3 - 58C

They all have the flame next to them except or AUX, everytime I run the setup to run Adobe Photoshop it overheats and shuts down, if I run Need for Speed I go through all the settings and when the game is about to start it shuts down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you apply to much paste? You need to only apply a small grain of rice and then spread it out or spread it buy punting on the heat sink and twisting it. The layer should be very thin.

Agree on the amount and methods.
Too much is as bad as none at all.

You don't say what GPU you are running but 58c is not abnormal.(mine is consistent at 85c)
However the ambient system temp at 96c is too high.

Are the fans running at full speed (check with speed fan that they are 100%)

The placement of fans is also important, you need the front fan as low as possible sucking fresh air in and the rear fan as high as high as possible blowing the warm air out.

These are the temps for mine (GTX260)right now and it is under heavy load.
    So you need further investigation.
