Computer possessed

This is bizzare, I'm running windows xp. I have mcafee anti-virus, Firewall, and privacy on my system, With the current dat files, my system comes up clean for viruses, I downloaded a trojan detector from major geeks, and nothing found. also downloaded a stinger program from mcafee and ran it for problems. Everything comes up clean. also through the firewall program, you can lockdown the system so no one has access in or out of the internet. Now for my problem, Sometimes when I'm on the internet or my mail program, the computer starts to type on it's own, actual dialog like talking about the war in the middle east of all things. when this happens I try to type and nothing happens, also I have a cordless mouse and keyboard, so I thought they were acting up. I replaced them with a back up set I have that are corded. This whole probem is intermitent, and I'm puzzled please help me

 

You need to make sure your anti virus software is up to date, and do a full scan. Definatley a virus of sorts.

 

try an online virus scan, mcaffe could be corrupted.

when it happens..yank your connection.. see if it stops..

 

Try turning off voice recognition. It sounds to me like maybe it was left on, and is "typing" what it hears, most likely from a news broadcast in the background.

 

now that's interesting... I never would have thought of that.

 

Lol, yep, i used to talk giberish to it "abah fah labtatharday whotazotzie mwahala." etc. and it would come up with some weird weird stuff.

Though with the political intent im more swayed to being a virus, virus writers generally have strong feelings that they try to communicate to the world thru them.

 

The only reason I thought of this is because I have seen it before, in a computer lab with 50 machines, all typing the same thing at the same time.

 

Disconnect your cordless mouse and keyboard. Someone nearby has the same and you are seeing what they are typing.

Do you have a joystick plugin??? if yes unplug.

 

in my opinion it has absolutley nothing to do with hardware. it is definatly a virus
