Computer powers off then back on with Airborne

    I've noticed rather recently that when playing Medal of Honor: Airborne, my computer will turn itself off then back on. What's puzzling is that MoH:A's the only game that's causing that issue, games that are MUCH more demanding (like Crysis 3) run without ANY issue.

    As for what I've done to test the issue: I ran both a CPU benchmark and FurMark at the same time and forced both my CPU and GPU to run at max for a couple hours. (no issue) I also tested my RAM, with no errors. I also turned off automatic restart upon a system failure so I could see if there was a BSOD, but that didn't do anything. So yeah, kinda stumped here. Wondering if my PSU (700w, can't remember the brand name but do remember it having good reviews) may be shorting out, but then why would I be having this issue with only one game, and one that isn't all that demanding?

    But anyways, capping the framerate to 60 (thanks nVidia Inspector) fixed the issue quite nicely. Never heard of a game causing stability issues strong enough to force a computer to do a complete power cycle though. Guess you live and learn. (at the very least though beats having to replace a faulty hardware)

    Wonder if this game is causing excess stress on hardware thus the hard power off! ?

    Your hardware is enough that I would think could deal with this game ok and many others, but also do look at temps and are your fans and excel ports ok and clear of fluff and dust?

    Yeap, checked all of that. Also did a sort of torture test with Prime95 and Furmark and had my CPU and GPU run at 100% (or close enough, like 99.something) one night before I went to bed to see if something was being stressed a little too much. When I woke up though, everything was still running and temps for both the CPU and GPU were within acceptable bounds. Hence my confusion.
