Hi, I'm running a emachine 400i. It has Windows 98 installed. Processor is a Celeron 400 mhz.
The computer powers off on it's own, sometimes during the morning/afternoon. I have to unplug it and then wait for a few seconds and plug it back in, and it doesn't power off until the next day. But now, it goes off about every 30 or 20 minutes. Maybe because I'm playing Half Life. I was told to run a software cooler, so I downloaded CpuIdle. But not a chance, I'm having same problems.

if you don't play half-life, does it still power off after 20-30 minutes?
