My old man (stubborn one at that) wants a new computer.
Doesn't want one built and money is no object to him.
He doesn't like Dell nor HP, so what's left? LOL!!!
I told him about AlienWare and mentioned it's owned by Dell, so that got shot.

Here's what he needs, a computer that can handle 2 monitors and is fast.
    The end.

I tried to convince him to get one built, but he won't hear of it since he wants support, but complains about Dell and HP support.

See the irony in all this BS?
    Funny story right?

Anyways, desktop suggestions would be appreciated.
    No Apples either...LOL!!!
    Thanks in advance.

Well try Falcon Northwest. <-- Like alienware but better support. Type alienware support on google nothing but complaints. Try Alienware vs Falcon on google.

There's always eMachines/Gateway though I can't comment on their service.

Tell him there is support when you build your own. I would explain to him that when you build your own you can really build it for speed, whereas when you buy it, it just won't compare or you will pay way more for less. Even Alienware is damn overpriced when you build your own. I would explain that the support comes in to play when you buy good components from reputable places. Buy a good board from, say, ASUS (or where you like support), they will give good support for board issues. ATI for card issues, for example, and so on. Now on top of that, buy from newegg.com and you got superb return policy, guaranteed not DOA stuff, can rma stuff long after purchase, ect. If that is not support, I don't know what is. If he has the occasional tech problem, you can help him out. You know what Dell does when they don't know, they tell you to send it in then you wait and they repair it IF you have the warranty. You can get extended warranties on anything you buy from newegg too that last long after the already solid standard policy.

I would also play the, "what you don't trust me to build it" card. I would say, "what, you don't trust your only son to build it?" That should do it (that is if you want to build it).;)
