My computer randomly shuts off whenever I do any 3d tasks(games videos).
    I have Windows XP SP2
    AMD Athlon 2.16GHz
    1 GB RAM
    ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128

Please post more info. If you can, go through the Event Viewer in Administrative Tools and look for any errors in the System section.

Randomly shutting off is almost always a HW problem. In your case since it's in 3D games it's most likely shutting down because you are overheating. So check your CPU and your GPU (graphics card). It's more then likely one of those two things getting to hot and killing the system.

More then likely it's the CPU over heating, so I'd check that first.
